Forty years ago today, the Apollo 12 crew was preparing for water egress training from the NASA Motor Vessel Retriever in the Gulf of Mexico. This photo shows the crew in a joking mood before entering the boilerplate spacecraft to practice recovery procedures. Left to right are Pete Conrad, Dick Gordon and Al Bean.

Great photo Ed.

With the Apollo XII 40th anniversary coming up, I hope this is one of many fun images from this (in my opinion, the best) close nit crew.

This is a great photo just begging for a string of wisecrack comments, but I guess everyone is like me... can't think of one worth posting. And I've been thinking about it for a few days now. "My brain hurts me...!"

They must have had the best rapport, among themselves, as a crew.

I've never seen this picture before. A great find.
