During the shooting of the official Gemini 6 crew portrait, command pilot Wally Schirra seems to be saying to his pilot Tom Stafford that they should wrap up this PR business, “because we have a rocket to catch”. Thanks to J.L. Pickering for the photo.

Ed,

Actually Wally is saying, "Ya, Tom. I got this little beauty from a guy standing right outside the gate at JSC. I think it is a Rolek."

Tom says..."Great watch, Wally. Now all you have to do is figure out how you're going to see it through your glove."

Or Wally could be saying: "Forty years from now some space collector nut will probably pay a fortune for this watch".

Tom: Isn't that an Omega?

Wally: Yeah, sure is.

Tom: Nice looking watch. I wonder if they're hiring? I mean, just in case this whole astronaut thing doesn't pan out...
