Gemini-7 pilot Jim Lovell demonstrates the lightweight G5C spacesuit for the mission, which featured a soft, collapsible helmet with polycarbonate visor. A fighter pilot’s crash helmet was worn underneath. The suit could be taken off in the cramped cabin of the Gemini spacecraft, enabling the crew to be more comfortable during the 14-day mission in December 1965.

What a FANTASTIC photo!!!
The Gemini 7 suits are the most fascinating suits of all time!! I remember my mother getting us up to watch the Mercury and Gemini launches. I also remember the Gemini 7 Astronauts scared the _____ out of me!! They looked like aliens from Mars to me as I was 11 years old at the time. I guess a young eleven. On all of the Gemini tapes there is really little on their light weight spacesuits.
