FIDO Dave Reed was concerned about computing the TPI burn during the flight of Apollo 9, and after the numbers were read up to Jim McDivitt and Rusty Schweickart, one of them responded, "Is Dave Reed smiling?" According to Reed, it was McDivitt, but the mission transcript credits the line to Schweickart. Schweickart does not recall whether it was him or McDivitt, and while Reed says to go with the transcript, I would like to confirm one way or the other. Would somebody around these parts have the actual air-to-ground audio? The exchange took place at MET 4:01:27:06. |

Have you tried the internet archive Rick, they have a fair bit of Apollo 9 uploaded as far as I can remember. |

I've looked, but it's impossible to tell which file contains which parts of the mission audio. | |
