Does anyone know of any pictures of Gene Cernan's Bell 47 helicopter crash in January 1971?

Gene describes this incident in detail in his book "Last Man on the Moon." It seems to have been more serious than he let on at the time (of course).

Well the crash was in a river, so there probably wasn't anything to take a picture of. Cernan describes how he came to in the water after the crash. Presumably, the helicopter sank and was later recovered...

There are some photos of other Apollo astronauts (e.g. Al Worden) standing next to Bell 47 choppers. Does anyone know if there was a particular Bell 47 assigned to the astronauts? It would be interesting to find out if the one in the Worden photo is the same as the one that Cernan later crashed.

Does any one know where to find that picture of Worden next to a Bell helicopter?

Apparently a photo exists of some of the astronauts standing next to a helicopter wreck, as a kind of send up to Gene Cernan, does any one know of this one?

Please tell us you're not thinking of asking Cernan to sign the picture at Autographica!

All times are CT (US)
