Sadly, Neil Armstrong's passing now means that only two out of 12 North American X-15 pilots are left. Bill Dana and the recent birthday boy (Aug. 26) Joe Engle.

That is sad, but I sure am glad that I grew up during this era and was privileged to have seen all this unfold, and equally grateful to have been privileged to met and become friends with these great men! What an exciting time to have been born! Test piloting at it's best, Mercury, Gemini, Apollo and so on......WOW!
