While not spaceflight, the Radio Times has listed that BBC Two's second Stargazing Live show scheduled for next Wednesday, January 8 at 8.00pm, is to feature both Walt Cunningham and Chris Hadfield. |

Are both "stargazers" or amateur astronomers? |

Just a little 'heads up' for those of you who were unaware that Walt Cunningham was on BBC 2 last night alongside Professor Brian Cox on 'Stargazing Live' and the follow-on 30 minute programme shown immediately afterwards. Available to watch on iplayer, folks! Editor's note: Threads merged. |

Yes it was an excellent show, I could have listened to Walt Cunningham, Chris Hadfield and Dr. Carolyn Poroco for much longer. |

What a fantastic show this was, had my whole family hanging on every word.Great to see Walt still looking so well, I had the pleasure of interviewing him in September while he was in the UK and what a gentleman. Hard to believe he will be 82 in March, doesn't look a day over 70 in my opinion! And Commander Hadfield is just cool as you like, both are excellent ambassadors for space exploration and heroes in every sense of the word. |

I find it hard to fathom the positioning of this show. The good bits are in the league of Sky at Night/Tomorrow's World/Horizon; the bad bits are more like CBBC/Brainiac: this time with O'Briain larking around on a Zero-G flight. Yawn. "ooh, what's it like to be weightless?" Some of the "let's go to 30,000ft and view the Northern Lights" was equally dumbed-down, but no doubt a good spend. Maybe they're just trying to reach too wide of an audience. |

For once I think I can understand the BBC. They are trying to educate and make it fun for those not yet with the spaceflight/astonomy bug. That said, the "Back to Earth" show after could be longer and less rushed to discuss more in depth issues. |

Was very good to see the two different generations of astronaut together. Both spoke very well and must have impressed any youngsters out there to further their interest in space. |
