Cosmonauts Maxim Surayev and Yelena Serova have left the active cosmonaut team to accept their new office as members of the Russian State Duma after the recent elections, German space journalist Gerhard Kowalski reports.According to Kowalski, the Russian cosmonaut team is now down to 31 members, with just one woman member. Alexander Kaleri and Pavel Vinogradov, management astronauts with RKK Enerigya, can still be counted into the group of active cosmonauts. |
