In "Dragonfly" by Bryan Burrough, the author mentions that the American and Russian heads of the Shuttle-Mir programme were due to fly on the final docking mission. Only Valery Ryumin flew. Why didn't Frank Culbertson? And with regard to Ryumin, is it true there were some tensions between him and the NASA crewmembers before and during flight? | |
