Hello all. I am looking for information please. About 4 years ago, when living in Lompoc California, I went to the estate sale for a Mr. Paul T. Yasaki and purchased a random box. Included in the box was a bunch of personal information about the man named above, including his resume. His resume traces his earliest involvement in the space program to 1955. His resume shows he worked for NASA and the space program for his entire career. I want information for two reasons. First, you would think that a Japanese man working for the space program in 1955 is at a minimum unique considering its barely a decade past the internment camps. So I wonder at the historical value of documenting this mans life path from world war II to his involvement in the space program. Secondly, I found in the box a journal of his hand written notes about an Atlas Launch that occured sometime around 1994. The nature of the notes would indicate that he was incharge of much of the technical aspects of the launch. From the notebook:26, July Mon
Started launch prep per 27-88461. Completed hydralic system preps. Encapsulated the s/c per 27-88444. Installation of the fairing went very smoothly. The only problem was the delay caused by s/c wanting to more fully understand the IMU data. 29 July Thurs
Transported s/c from BLDG 1610 to SLC-3W. S/C was at the base of the MST N 0630. S/C was lifted atop the Atlas, and all 132 bolts snugged by 1130. S/C is mechanically and electricall to the atlas. Completed Engine electrical checks. There is a couple hundred pages of these notes all hand written. Is this a collectable item? Would I have the CIA at my door if I ever tried to sell it? Thanks for any help.

Unless there is any classified or ITAR restricted information you are safe!From the standpoint of collectability, independent of we space enthusiasts, recommend also posing your question to the National Japanese American Historical Society ..their website is located here. ------------------
