Hi,
that question may sound a bit strange, but I wondered whether there were there any vegetarian astro- or cosmonauts?

I seem to recall reading that Kalpana Chawla may have been a vegitarian, or at least stuck to a specific diet with mostly vegetarian dishes during her two trips into space (including STS-107). Usually the NASA food preparation facility does a very good job respecting the astronauts wishes and balancing them with the dietary requirements for proper nutrition during spaceflight. So if there are other vegetarians in the space program, it shouldn't affect their mission selection, although I imagine there might be some interesting difficulties for dietary requirements on long term spaceflights aboard the ISS with the Russians supplying most of the food (which tends to favor more canned products, such as meat spreads).

Janice Voss and TJ Creamer, for starters, although TJ is not altogether strict about it.
