In Sweden there is a tradition to have Summer-talks on radio. Interesting people get 90 minutes to tell us about their life, ups and downs, anecdotes and play there own favourite music. It gives the people insight in their life.

This year Christer Fuglesang, Swedens first astronaut, was of course one of the interesting people.

You can listen to his talk (minus the music due to laws) on the following link:
http://www.sr.se/cgi-bin/P1/program/artikel.asp?ProgramID=2071&Artikel=881864

Find the link from 12 August 2007 or the Pod-radio on the right side.

Enjoy.

One small item though – it is of course in Swedish.

In the beginning of the programme you hear Christer´s tape recorder, which he used during the flight to make notes as they happened. In the beginning you will here the sounds of the astronauts on the middeck as they reach MECO. I think it is the first time I´ve heard the sounds of the astronauts at this point.

I don´t know if I hear correctly but its sound like Joan or Suni is saying “holy **** ” and “that is so ******* cool”. Great to hear some human expressions far from the PR-activities. It is so neat – nearly as being there.

Best regards,
Jan Persson, Sweden

P.S. Thanks to all people on this site who send comments, links and all other interesting stuff about the space flight business and all related aspects. I´m happy to contribute my small part of this big community. D.S.
