NASA astronaut Kate Rubins was sworn into the U.S. Army Reserve on Wednesday (Nov. 3). Prior to becoming an astronaut, Rubins worked on projects with the U.S. Army to develop therapies for Ebola and Lassa viruses.

The swearing-in of NASA astronaut Dr. Kate Rubins by Chief of Army Reserve Lt. Gen. Jody J. Daniels took place earlier today.
