Autographica's organizers have announced a date change: Due to an issue with the current dates, we have had to reschedule next April's event.Unfortunately we have not been able to secure a alternative date in the first half of the year and therefore the next Autographica Show will take place as follows: Friday 9th through Sunday 11th October Friday 11th through Sunday 13th September 2015 at the Radisson Edwardian Blu Hotel at Heathrow.
Anyone who has booked tickets already for April will be able to carry over there tickets to the new show at no additional cost or if they are unable to attend a full refund can be obtained. We are currently checking the availability of our initial guest line up as to whether they can still attend in September and will update you on this shortly but believed it was best to announce to you all of the date change, before people make plans and commitments. The website will be updated after the holidays with full details of the new show. |

Showmasters have also posted details of a smaller weekend with Jerry Ross for the original April dates. Limited information to date but looks like the usual signings, photo sessions and lectures will take place. |

The money of my second flight booking is lost. Have now given away 400 Euro for nothing. This is totally unprofessional. |

You can't amend your flight booking? Surely its not a TOTAL loss? |

It would help if the website could be updated to show the new dates. |

I know we'll be told to be grateful but is this Buzz's final, final appearance, as his minder has told me this twice in the past (to justify fees)? |

I noticed that Buzz's fees have been posted. Is the Apollo 11 completion fee in addition to the base fee? |

The health issues preventing Edgar Mitchell from attending Autographica are not the type that are likely to improve, making travel challenging. Therefore, it seems unlikely he'll attend a future Autographica. If anyone wants to send something to the U.S. to be signed by him, I'll see him in November. I'm happy to take pictures of him signing with your camera, or I can take cell phone pictures and email them. Steve Gruber, who took send-ins for Spacefest, can vouch for me. If interested, email me privately. |

Very good day today at Autographica. Went to four excellent lectures from Bruce McCandless, Rick Searfoss, Rusty Schweickart and Al Worden. The first two was the first time I have attended their talks and was well pleased. McCandless mainly talked about his MMU flight and Searfoss on his training and the details of a shuttle flight. Interestingly he was at test pilot school with Elaine Collins and same training group at NASA and said she was delightful. I think those of us who saw her at Pontefract can vouch for that. Schweickart's was the second talk of his I have attended which was really interesting about what we can do to survive an asteroid calamity, and he was very happy not to discuss Apollo 9. Worden was his usual exuberant self in describing his side of Apollo 15. Fifth time I have heard him speak but it still seems fresh. Also managed a quick word with Buzz. As a tennis fan it was lovely to talk to Vijay Amritaj as well. A very impressive and friendly character. Thanks to all the people for arranging the event and good to speak to some familiar faces of attendees and some new faces as well. Look forward to the next time. |

A very enjoyable weekend. A little quiet compared with some of the earlier events, but it is always good to meet old friends and make new ones. I never tire of listening to Al Worden talking about visiting the Moon, and Rusty Schweickart's anecdotes (at the dinner table) about Pete Conrad and the repair of Skylab were priceless. For those who tire of the "London prices" at the hotel, a brief stroll down the road to the Pheasant Inn provides a very pleasant interlude (and I thoroughly recommend the Aspall's cider!). Seeing Buzz Aldrin walking past still fills me with a sense of wonder at the sheer gutsy achievement of Apollo 11 all those years ago. And I can't end without a mention of 93-year-old "Johnny" Johnson, last surviving British "Dambuster", who was still sipping a malt whisky in the hotel bar when I retired to bed in the early hours of Sunday morning. |

Rick, you were missed. Where were you?In my opinion, it was yet another truly unbelievable weekend. Yes, not as busy as in the past, but that did have the positive effect of being able to move about freely. The negative effect was that not all of the 'Usual Suspects' were there. Whether it was talking to Rusty Schweickart about the William Shatner SIM story (that you all know, I'm sure), Bruce McCandless grabbing my shoulder to illustrate a point (it felt like he was going to break it off. Such strong hands) about Robert Gilruth or Al Worden walking over to us to share a Vodka outside the Radisson (Cig in hand, cackling that mischievous cackle),it was just amazing! I was lucky enough to be talking to Rusty Schweickart on Saturday night. Halfway through the night, I turned to my fiancée and said to her "This is the best night of my life"... shortly afterwards, I had decided that perhaps it was the second best night of my life (but between me and everyone who will read this, I'll state that it was the 'equal best night of my life'!). Meeting up with friends was also a huge highlight of the weekend (You know who you are), I even learnt a bit of Italian. Strangely, I almost didn't mind paying over £5 per pint of beer at the Radisson... almost! To summarise — I don't know how Dave and the Autographica gang do it... but I'm incredibly grateful. In years to come, we'll look back on these days and, honestly, we will marvel that we ever had the chance to meet these men. We owe Dave Phillips, Ken Willoughby and the 'New Kids on the Block' Nigel McEnaney and Rich Garner, for all that they have done for us all. |

I could only manage a brief visit on Saturday. Being in the middle of a house move & having already met Buzz, Rusty and Bruce I decided on only meeting Rick Searfoss and George Johnson.Rick was excellent to meet, explaining his 'grumpy look' on the STS-90 photo I asked him to sign. He told me his thoughts at the time were "Dude, I'm working here." He also told me he had brought the flown shirt he had worn in that photo to sell. Somebody (probably Dave from Showmasters) got a great item. George Johnson was also an excellent guest to meet. I only asked him to autograph my copy of his book. But the guy in front of me had many items for him to sign and Mr Johnson seemed to have a story about each item. For a gentleman in his senior years he was on great form. |

What were Buzz's lines like? Did he sign any Apollo 11 completions (besides the one I was told about privately)? |
