Is there no longer a discount for sending orders early? Are CDs with pictures of items being signed no longer available? |

I am just glad that an opportunity like this still exists, at any price. |

I'm looking for this signing: NASA photo numbers of Michael Collins in helmet and the Gemini X title-picture (b/w) of the book "Carrying the Fire." Thanks. Any help?

Good News! We've reconsidered the Completion Fees and Photo COAs for Collins. We are updating the online fee table today.Gemini 10 completion will be $105 extra, instead of $250. Apollo 11 completion will be $350 extra, instead of $495. The Photo COAs we offered before took too long to produce, leading to long shipping delays, so we are streamlining this option for quicker delivery. Our new "Photo of Authenticity (POA)" option will provide one photo of Collins holding your signed item, emailed to you. A paper certificate of authenticity noting the date of signing (but no image of your item) will be sent with your item (same as we have always done for non-Photo COA items). Cost will be $35. The candid photos that we previously included on a CD, will now be posted online for everyone for free. |

Rob, that is great news for all the collectors that are participating and sending in crew completion items. |

I have an Armstrong signed crew litho that I'd like to get Collins to sign, would it be considered a crew 'completion'? I don't think I could ever afford to add Aldrin! Thanks. |

Gareth, if your item is only signed by Armstrong, and not Aldrin, then the Apollo XI Completion price does NOT apply. Collins does NOT charge a "Partial Completion" price like Buzz has. |

Great news, thanks Rob! Two more quick questions while I've got you here: I have two items I'd like to get signed, do I write them both on the same form? Do you guys send a confirmation email for receipt of items? I'm from Ireland (we were in contact about the recent Jim McDivitt signing) so I'm a bit worried about sending things all the way over to you guys! Cheers! |

Yes, put up to four items on one form, not on separate forms. The order form provides four separate blocks of five lines each for writing your signing instructions, bordered by bolder lines. We try to send a confirmation email after receipt of each order, but when many packages arrive on the same day, several days in a row, especially near the deadline, it may take us several days to email a confirmation. This is why the third paragraph on the first page of the instructions asks you to use a shipping method to us that provides you with a tracking number so that you'll know when it arrives, without waiting for us. |

Just over a week to the deadline for Collins. Remember, we must receive your order form and items by Saturday, March 14 (preferably earlier). |

I already have all the Michael Collins signed photos I need, but for those who don't, I hope the good folks at Novaspace have the foresight to get some Apollo 11 CSM photos signed for sale on their website. I for one find it rather strange that the none of their Apollo 11 in-flight photos show either Collins inside the CSM or the CSM itself. |

Well, at last they have a shot of Mike inside the CM, but a shot of Columbia in lunar orbit is still unavailable.I have a couple of Collins pieces already and probably won't be getting anymore because of his "no inscriptions" policy. For me there's simply a limit to how many plain autographed pictures I need before any new ones are failing to add additional interest to my collection. It's a shame, but I don't think Collins will change his policy. |

I'm totally with you David. I'd be buying out the wazoo if he'd add an inscription. I already have a GT-10 crew signed and 2 other Collins Apollo 11 photos. One is the standard Novaspace LM over the moon photo. The other one is an inscribed CSM photo that I really like. I don't need any more signed photos with just his name on it. That's not an indictment on Collins at all. It's more me kicking myself in the rear for not starting my collection about 5 years earlier.I'm not sure, but I'd like to think he would be more than happy to add an inscription if he could. At his age, we're lucky he's willing to sign at all. I also noticed while browsing the Novaspace website that Cernan will be signing in April. I only have about 12 signed Cernan photos, but I can always use more. Thankfully, none of my Cernans have his "Last Man On the Moon" inscription. That one's been way overused. Kinda like Apollo 12's "An Island of Refuge..." quote. |

Absolutely, and I'm not criticising Collins either. It's great that he signs at all. |

Collins signed all day Monday, March 23, in good spirits and with wry humor. We started shipping on Tuesday, but it'll take about two weeks to get everything out. We'll send an email notice when items actually ship. Photos of Authenticity (POAs) will be emailed when ready, probably about a week. Our photographer is currently inspecting all of the photos, and retouching them, as necessary. Thanks for your patience. |

Thanks for the good suggestions for other Collins photos. We try to stock what appeals to the majority, and cannot always offer less popular ones. Our mail-in signings allow customers to send photos that we don't stock. They can get their favorite unsigned images from a number of sources. A few customers sent CSM photos, but we sold only one In CM photo from our unsigned photos page. There are few good in-flight candids or CSM photos. The lack of in-flight photos is addressed in another topic. In Retro Space Images' Apollo 11 collection, I found two TV images of Collins (poor quality, w/TV scan lines), one of Collins shaving (partially hidden face), and the one we offer on our unsigned page (very contrasty, without much useable room to sign). I found four CSM photos (extremely similar to each other) and one at such a distance that the CSM is barely visible. We did get a few CSM and In CM photos signed for our stock, and will list them soon. |

I was very pleased with the care that was put into my Collins order. Every precise detail was adhered to.For those considering paying for Collins, save up now for next year, assuming he signs. He'll be almost 85 and a half by then. I can't see find the public photos. Rob mentioned in an earlier post, "The candid photos that we previously included on a CD, will now be posted online for everyone for free."

All of the POAs have been emailed, but we are still working on sorting and reviewing the candid photos before we post them online, along with a lot of other tasks at the moment, so please be patient. I'll post here when they are online. |

I won't go into details, but Rob e-mailed me after my order arrived there to point out/offer a couple of things that hadn't occurred to me to ask for, which greatly improved what I got. |
