Actually, first up (though not solely a book signing) is the rescheduled Saturday Morning Science at Towson University in Maryland tomorrow (Feb. 15).

Did anyone attend the Feb. 15 signing (I'd like to get a few books inscribed, NOT just signed, and wonder if the crowds are such that this would not be possible, or if someone would hand-carry some books to the March appearances in Houston to get some inscribed to my son and a teacher?)

In consultation with Kim I tried to get Don Thomas along to Spacefest VI, but even though he said he'd love to be there, he had another signing in Houston that same weekend. Pity - it's a terrific book.

I got to see Don this afternoon in Toledo at Tony Packo's where he and his co-author Mike Bartell were doing a book signing. Don also gave a nice presentation followed by a Q&A.

He was also kind enough to sign a Hot Dog bun for me. If you have ever been to Tony Packo's (Originally made famous by Toledo Native Jamie Farr on MASH) they are know for their hot dogs and chili! Their walls are covered in signed hot dog buns! Originally they were real but now they are made of foam rubber!

Thank you Don for writing a great book and putting on a great presentation today!

Will Don Thomas do a nationwide book tour or will he just focus mainly in Ohio and surrounding states?

I spoke to Don, who said that he'd have liked to embark on a nationwide tour but as he has a full-time profession, his schedule won't allow for that much travel.

He is scheduling events outside Ohio as possible, with signings now confirmed for Virginia and Texas, and he expects to be at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama later this year.

Don't miss out on getting Don's book (and a signed copy at that) as this is one terrific read. Can't praise it too highly.

Best. Newbie. Post. Ever.

What a great way to enter the cS boards! I'm looking forward to ordering two personalized copies now (one for my son, one for a science teacher...).

Great news - thanks for the option on your book!

I received my copies yesterday so no chance to read the book yet. I ordered them directly from Don's website and could not be more pleased with my order. They were personalized as I requested. Don also adds his missions and a nice little inscription..."Watch out for the woodpeckers and keep your eyes to the stars."

I also bought one of his KSC Drill Team patches which is pretty neat.

I had the opportunity to attend Dr. Thomas' book signing at the Udvar Hazy museum yesterday. He was very generous with his time, and a very engaging person. In addition to signing his book, he gave a fantastic talk about his flight aboard Discovery, right in front of Discovery.

Since I missed the Don Thomas book signing at Udvar-Hazy by mere days, I plan to order Don's book from his website. Looking forward to reading this book very soon.

We had a chance meeting with Don Thomas today at Udvar Hazy. I did not know he was going to be there, so I was pleasantly surprised when I found he was doing a book signing.

He was very approachable and a lot of fun to talk to. He even offered to pose for a picture with my family, which was a real treat for my kids. He is a real class act!
