Kim and Sally, THANK YOU very much for extending your offer! For those of us who couldn't get through the line to see Capt. Bean at the NASM this weekend, it's nice to know that there is a trusted and friendly source that we can turn to for signed copies of Capt. Bean's books at reasonable prices.Jonathan |

I was still in line at NASM and I wondered, "how many extra orders will Kim and Sally get after this?" I agree with Jonathan, it's nice to have a trusted source. I just wish I could make it out to Arizona to hang out with all the cool kids. |

On Friday, after a weather-delayed flight and a quick dinner, Capt. Bean was at Novaspace for 90 minutes, signing 134 books for mail-orders, and about half of the mailed-in memorabilia. He then went to his hotel for a good night's sleep, which was fortunate, because...At 7:00 Saturday morning, he returned to Novaspace to sign the rest of the mailed-in items, and 995 mail-ordered books in four hours! The VIP event started at 3, and he spent about 15 minutes with each customer. At 5:30, he presented a one hour slide show of his art, telling the stories behind some of them. The Hilton El Conquistador Resort staff laid out an excellent and delicious Mexican buffet during the slide show, and were so professional that they didn't make a sound, nor clatter a tray, nor drop a serving spoon, so as not to interrupt the show. Alan ate quickly, then went right back to signing. He enjoyed talking with the customers so much, that he didn't finish until 10:15, instead of 9. His stamina is phenomenal, although I'm sure he was very tired. At Sunday's public event, he spent about 5 minutes with each person, and had a short, but steady, line for 4 hours. In all, Bean signed about 1580 books, plus mailed-in memorabilia, plus some photos to replenish Novaspace's stock. He was friendly and cheery throughout the entire time. I must return to work now, to start shipping out all those books and items, and to get ready for the Cernan signing. Rob at Novaspace |

I received my Alan Bean signed books this week from Novaspace. After 15 minutes of unpacking I got them out and they are in pristine condition like they just rolled off of the press.Earlier in the week I received my books from the signings at the Smithsonian. Packaging was a little less intense and while I am not complaining, I will note their condition was a little bit beat up. Now, at the risk of sounding political, I challenge anybody who received similar shipments from both groups to compare the quality of the shipping and the articles shipped. That in my opinion is the fundamental difference between the quality of the private and public sector in delivering goods and services. Thank you Kim for both this wonderful opportunity to receive these books, and also for your quality service. In eBay terms I would give you an AAAA++++ ------------------ Kind Regards Douglas Henry Enjoy yourself and have fun.... it is only a hobby! http://home.earthlink.net/~aztecdoug/ |

My books arrived here in Australia this week in great condition - safe and sound in their bulletproof packaging.I would like to add my thanks to Al Bean, Kim, Sally, Rob and all the folks at Novaspace for organizing this great offer! For those of us too far away to have the opportunity to attend a great event like this one, it's wonderful to have a chance to still get books signed at the same price. Thanks for the great job as always! By the way, did any cS members attend the public signing? I'd love to see some pics of the event! |

I'll post some pix later. We've got the Cernan signing in less than two weeks and we're still sending out books at a rate of about 45 orders/day. We've got another week of that! Thanks mucho for the kind words. Our crew deserves the credit. Ex-employees, kids, and friends help us out at crunch times like this, too. Received my books about a week ago. (I was on vacation.) I guess I've come to expect the excellent shape in which they were received -- which is a real credit to Novaspace. Can't lose with them.------------------ Don |

This is another public, albeit late, "thank you" to Kim and the rest of the Novaspace team for a job well done. I'm a long time customer (and will continue to be) as nobody does it better from start to finish. Thanks Kim, Sally, and the rest of the gang! |
