Grayson Boehm Lecture Hall

Join popular author and science illustrator Michael Carroll on a journey to the most spectacular and terrifying scenes in our solar system. His latest book Alien Volcanoes reveals late-breaking discoveries throughout the planets with the latest NASA photos and stunning paintings. Carroll's talk surveys the complete spectrum of volcanoes, from Earthlike cones with molten rock to alien geysers of liquid nitrogen.

A book signing will follow the lecture. Alien Volcanoes will be available for purchase at the North Star Science Store.

Tickets: This program is free with $8.50 admission and includes the 7, 8 or 9 p.m. IMAX® film.

For those of you who may have met the impish Mike Carroll at Spacefest, this should be a lot of fun!!

That's really an outstanding painting on the flyer! I can see the influences of the Iceland workshop and the Arches National Park workshop I attended with Mikey in our youth.
