A little over a week to go. If still interested, let me know that you want a signed photo or that you will sending one in. We still have plenty of space for your item.

Thank you for your support so far. We are at about 40% of one school visit for an astronaut so keep sending in those requests.

It is still in the works but we still need lots more people to do the signing. I know she was a good signer in the past and the cost is a little high but this is a nice way to support us plus get an autograph.

These are hard to do and will probably be my last for awhile. The market is just not there.

In my opinion, $25 is about average for an autograph. Certainly, it's less than some first-time shuttle astronaut signers who do shows. And it's well worth it for someone who doesn't sign through the mail and for one of only three female shuttle pilots.

Plus, though Still-Kilrain is "only" 53, we (the royal we) think of the Mercury, Gemini, Apollo and shuttle astronauts as old... but the shuttle astronauts are getting older, too. Things happen, they for whatever reason don't do appearances, or they stop signing.

Time to get their autograph is sooner rather than later.

Last day!

Just a thought, how does the astronaut sign when they have a maiden name and married name. For example for a litho or photo that shows Still, does she sign it Still or Kilrain?

Wish I could answer this but I checked: My Astronaut Encounter litho has Susan L. Kilrain on the bottom, and that's what she signed.

From past experience she signs Kilrain, but if you ask, she is willing to sign as Still. I think a few female astronauts who changed their name after selection will do so. Ellen Baker, Nicole Stott who was Passanno when she tried to apply previously.

After an almost 30-hour drive back from Florida due to Hurricane Matthew (don't ask), I came home to find my Kilrain-signed photos waiting. Thanks, Bryan!

For those curious on how she signed - one photo, which showed her with the "Susan Still" nameplate was signed that way. The other photo was signed "Susan L. Kilrain."
