Just received an email from Novaspace that the Young signing has been done succesfully and they are now working on returning our items !
Due to the recordbreaking amount it will take some time though Kim Poor wrote.
Despite some negative critics in some groups the markets are going down it rather looks like the opposite...Well, can't await to see my items !!! Florian |

I see that Kim has posted his report on the John Young signing. hey a book tour and signing by Young would work for me- $500 divided by $30 - thats a lot of books. |

Doesn't this create a problem? If John Young writes a book, his publishers will expect him to make a tour of all major book stores to publicize the book. It is traditional at all such book sales for the author to inscribe/autograph the title page. I work across the street from the Barnes & Noble in Rockefeller Center. I have seen many authors signing their $30 books. Will John Young continue this tradition, or will he charge $495 for an inscribed copy? |

You know, on second glance, that looks like two different Moonwalker prints. One has black matting and the other has white matting. Plus one is bent near Buzz and the other is bent near Neil. Double tears! ------------------

For those that participated in the signing what items are you awaiting? Three items here.....WSS litho, "Jumping" litho and an A-10 Earth litho that is now completed by the A-10 crew. Wanted a 4th item (baseball) but was told the limit was three and that was it. |

That is refreshing to hear. Thanks for the information. So I will expect to see John Young at my Barnes and Noble some day in the near future. Everyone signs at that location (48th St. & 5th Ave., NYC). A glance at the photos of the recent John Young signing shows many items that are "special items". The collectors do not just want an autograph, they want it on an item other that a space cover or piece of paper. At least, they did not show the small items. So it is understandable that collectors are willing to pay any amount to have "special items" (posters, baseballs, etc.) signed, particularly if the collectors cannot be there in person. Are there any totals on the number of collectors who were there in line or the number of items that were mailed, or the total number of items that were signed?

Hey JG,
You have a nice collection coming back to you. I already have a NASA 8 X 10 portrait I obtained through a mailed request so I sent in two bookpages, a Molly Brown and a Gemini X. The fine folks at Novaspace are holding them for me until Mike Collins can also sign the Gemini page.

JG - I have both AP-10 and AP-16 crew completion lithos out, plus Reaching for the Stars. I had Cernan and Stafford sign that AP-10 at Burbank hoping for this day. I just never thought it would happen this quickly. I am really excited about getting them back.------------------

I picked mine up last week since I live in Tucson, I got the Moonwalkers signed and my Franklin Mint Lunar Module base done as well. I now have 8 signed on that piece. I do have to say, those of you who have the Jumpin' John Young photos are going to be very pleased. The larger ones look fantastic. I now am starting to regret not getting one for myself but as we all know the fees do add up quick! |

Yep, sent my Moonwalkers print already signed by 10, for JY to add #11. Thankfully I rolled it into a 1/2" think tube for mailing, so I'm not one of the unlucky ones.
Also sent in Ap10 for completion and my multi-signed moon litho which will now have 10 moonwalkers, 2 complete crews and 2 astronauts from every mission 8 thru 17. Just need Mattingly, Anders, McDivitt and Armstrong!Paul Bramley |

Having "In the Beginning" signed by John Young was a good idea. How much is that print worth anyway......without John Young signing it. Anyway, if someone has that print with John Young for sale....can you let me know. I would be interested.

I did receive my Apollo 10 and Apollo 16 crew lithos back today from the John Young signing at Novaspace. They came back in a bullet proof package with a sheet of plexi-glass for reinforcement.I had some pretty specific, and long winded, instructions on how the signatures should be placed, and they were followed to the letter. The product was handled, signed and delivered as best as anybody could hope for and I am very thankful to Novaspace for that. I know there are a lot of emotions regarding this signing, but I just wanted to report the facts, with all those issues aside, that the job was done expertly. To be honest, I don't know of a finer example of Apollo 10 and Apollo 16 signed crew lithos, than what I have in my hand now. I never imagined that it would all fall together like it has over the past three years I invested in the Apollo 16 litho and 8 months I put into the Apollo 10 litho. I just received my signed John Young baseball back from Novaspace. It is perfectly signed example of his signature and a great addition to my collection of signed baseballs from political and historical figures. I never purchase signatures from dealers. Every signature I have in my collection has been obtained either in person or from a top government official. Novaspace makes it possible to obtain the signatures directly of reluctant and elusive space heroes. All of us are hoping that Novaspace is able to persuade Neil Armstrong to relent and sign a couple of items. The process of dealing with the staff at Novaspace is great. They were kind, courteous, and answered all my questions. The packaging was great as well. I highly recommend them and can't wait til Kim emails us that Neil and Bill Anders have signed on too. |

Sally and Kim Poor brought back all my enthusiasm for the hobby, since I know them.Regarding the Young session, I now have my two Moonwalkers prints signed by 11 of 12, a WSS, a Jump salute with mission added, and another Jump signed to my name. That's something beyond my dreams. (Well, to be honest, a Grissom personalised to me would be quite nice too, but that'll be harder). In the past three years, I was able to fill many holes in my collections thanks to them, and unlike some dealers, it's always a pleasure to call and to ask for specific requests. I doubt you will ever read a bad experience from their service. For exemple, they sent Lovell 3 times a 8x10, as the first was bent and the second personalised with a wrong name. I consider them more as friends than dealers. On top of that, they understand my awful english, which is a real plus.

I received my John Young signed jump/salute 8x10 yesterday from Novaspace. It's fantastic. I couldn't have asked for more. I've never seen the jump/salute image look so sharp. I wonder who they have do there photos. And boy does Novaspace know how to pack a photo. You would have to shoot it with a shotgun to hurt it. I hope everybody else get their items soon and posts here what they think of them.Mark |

Anyone receive their Moonwalkers Print back yet? I sent my Moonwalkers print that is signed by 10 already and an 8 x 10 photo of a Gemini Launch that is already signed by Cooper, Conrad, Stafford, Cernan, Lovell, Gordon, Schirra, and Scott. I also received by John Young and want to echo my thanks and appreciation to Novaspace for 1) providing the opportunity and 2) doing a first class job from start to finish. Like many, I really had to deliberate long and hard before reaching deep into the old wallet but, in the end, the opportunity to have something that there is literally only one of (i.e., personalized and inscribed the way I wanted it) was too much to pass up. I know I would have had second thoughts down the road if I had passed. Do I wish the base fee was more affordable? Absolutely! But that doesn't diminish the appreciation I have for Kim and Sally for making the unlikely at least possible. Well done, hang tuff, and keep up the great work. |

I just received my Young signed photo back from Novaspace (inscribed Jumping John fyi) and I am very pleased. Young writes in a large and clear way, and in a very distinctive and clearly legible handwriting style.He did an expert job of printing and script on my inscription and the placement was exactly as I desired. Yes, it was expensive. But Capt. Young delivered the goods. And thanks go to Kim and Sally and the staff at Novaspace for making the signing possible and for doing it in as professional a way as they did. |
