Update from Lunar Legacies: The uploading of the Lunar Legacies 23 auction to Invaluable and Auction Zip has been completed, and it is ready for viewing and pre-bidding for the live auction on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 9 a.m. Pacific Time. It will not be available on eBay. You must register at Invaluable to bid, but most of you have been automatically registered. Just go to invaluable.com and hit the "Auction" link at the top and find Lunar Legacies, or follow the link here. There are a couple photos still to take and many descriptions leftto write, but all should be completed by July 10. The bidding numbers are correct and you may pre-bid now if you so choose once you are registered. Mail-in bids are accepted so if you cannot be there live for the auction, please email with your list, and I will be glad to bid for you. Please also understand that all mail bids must be confirmed received. Highlights in this auction include: - Over 100 items from the Karol Bobko collection covering all the programs he was involved in including MOL, SMEAT, ASTP (he was support crew), ALT, STS-6, STS-51D and STS-51J.
- Great items from Rhea Seddon, Jack Lousma and Walter Cunningham.
- Apollo 1 Crew-Signed NASA Numbered Glossy Photo
...and much more - about 750 lots total. |

The two panoramas listed in this auction are low quality counterfeit copies of genuine Moonpans prints. They have been printed using low-res web images from the Moonpans website, as opposed to the ultra high-res images used in genuine Moonpans prints. They also contain forged signatures of Buzz Aldrin and Dave Scott. Genuine Moonpan prints have crop marks in all four corners, and recently have technical printer info at the bottom. They also have a crystal clear title/description at the bottom and a crystal clear image. The counterfeits have no crop marks, no printer info and very distorted title and blurry image. To be certain of getting a genuine Moonpan print, best to buy from the Moonpans website. |

Anyone having trouble bidding on this Lunar Legacies auction? When I pressed the green "bid" button, the auction website just froze up on me with no bids recorded of mine. So I closed out from the site and tried to enter again, however, my computer indicated a major error not allowing me to get back in. Most unusual as I have never had a problem with Invaluable beforehand, and I was pre-registered and approved in advance. On edit: Tried again by entering the Invaluable site from start, this time it worked, but when I hit the green "bid now" button to bid on a facility sign — the same problem came up again! The auction website froze up on me with no bids being accepted, but only when I hit the green bid button. Oh well. |

iOS App is working fine for bidding. Something is unfortunately working for the people outbidding me too. |

Some nice lots at reasonable start prices. Didn't manage to secure any lots I wanted (or could afford) this time. Great sale though, I just love browsing the range of items, many I've never seen before. As more astronauts start to give up their personal collections, none of us are getting any younger (you can't take it with you) and downsizing. It gives collectors a fantastic opportunity to become custodians of some rare and authentic items.

I had the same problem with bidding. No joy when pressing the green bid button on my laptop (Windows 10). All I have to show now is a pocket full of money. |

I was able to get a few things for my collection. But my Chrome browser did not work. Had to reluctantly use IE. |

As with "413 is in," I was using Windows 10 as well. Hopefully we can resolve the problem before the next Lunar Legacies auction comes around, but I am not sure if it was a problem with my own computer or with the Invaluable online auction site. |

I was using my Kindle to place some bids and had no problems. Also was using my phone. Unfortunately, I won nothing. Of course having had back surgery the day before did not allow a lot of attention to be paid and was constantly drifting off, or maybe I just dreamt the whole thing. |
