A private collector from France has commissioned the sales house Cornette de Saint Cyr in Paris to auction his Soviet and Russian space artifacts. - Important EVA artifacts (including a complete semi-rigid Orlan D)
- Autographs (a few Gagarin)
- Spacecraft instruments
- EVA tools
- Portholes and thermal protection elements
- Buran artifacts
- Insignas (notably Shuttleworth, flown?) and pins
- Flight manuals
- Posters
- Photos and documents
- Memorabilia
- Numismatics
- Models
Most of them have been artfully mounted for beautiful presentations. The online catalog is visible here (click on top on "LISTE" if you prefer to see as a list). Descriptions are only in French, but I'll be glad to help, and likewise, I'm sure, for other French-speaking members. The Conditions of sale are found here, in English at the bottom of the column on the right. ------------------ Francois Guay Collector of literature, notebooks, equipment and memories! |

Some stout pricing on these items but the catalog has a lot of interesting ways to display memorabilia. Thanks Francois. |

That is one impressive collection of Russian materials. I counted five spacesuits in the collection. |

I spot some questionable Gagarin (+ Nicolaev, Popovitch etc.) autographs from "our" well known source in Russia often discussed here... |

I have tried emailing them (both addresses) with some questions, but have not heard a reply... Anyone know the answers... thanks! To qualify for absentee bidding, I see that I should send "bank identification slip [RIB in France] or bank detail". Can this be a copy of my bank statement summary showing sufficient funds for bidding? Also, are any of the items in this auction “cultural goods” or do any have export restrictions to the Unites States? If so, how can I tell which ones do and don't? Can I email a scan of the form and bid amounts to you? |

It all worked out and I won three items. There was one standout sale (not to me) of the Russian Orlan D EVA suit (lot 574) which went for $147K after premium.FYI, their "estimation" prices are actually minimum bids on the low end of the range. |
