Consignments wanted for the Goldberg's June 30, 2012 auction to be held in their new offices overlooking the 405 Freeway and Olympic Blvd. in Los Angeles.

Lotting for the sale is well underway with consignments ranging from the parallel universe printing plate Newsweek had made for the the Apollo 8 flight - if the flight hadn't succeeded - to one of the nicest Armstrong autographed 8x10 NASA photos (as an "Astronaut Trainee") you have ever seen.

We are not necessarily looking for those high-ticket, OMG pieces that some other firms seem to feed on, but rather individual pieces in the $250/$2500 range that form the backbone of the hobby and which the average collector fights over. If you wish to take part in the most freewheeling space memorabilia auction being held today, now is the time to jump in.

I'll be glad to discuss your specific consignment with you. Feel free to contact me.

The catalog is going to press on Monday and should be in the mail by 1 June. Hopefully the sale will also be up on our website around the same time. Keep an eye out for it.

Questions and commentary always, well usually, appreciated. Thanks.

(Reports of my imminent demise may be slightly premature.)

By now, most of you should have received your copies of the catalog. I hope you have found the sale interesting.

I have to apologize for the overall layout of the sale and for the photos. Unfortunately, I was unable to be involved in neither. The photos have been randomly done and many good items don't have printed photos in the catalog and minor items do. Also, some of the photos fail to highlight what should be shown in the lot. The sale arrangement is also lacking in continuity.

What I recommend strongly that you do, so as not to overlook the lots that you may want, is to look at the web listings where virtually all of the items have photos. At least that way, you won't overlook any of the lots due to placement.

Unfortunately, there isn't much I can do about the photography itself. You'll just have to muddle through. Good luck. Let me know if I can be of further help.

Just wondered if you will be allowing an outside online auction facility to be able bid on your auction. I see last year people used Liveauctioneer to bid. As I live in UK it seems an easier way of doing things, apart from paying them a bit for the courtesy. However your auction on June 30th is not showing anywhere else yet.

I had sent email at weekend asking how to register with yourselves direct since I was based in UK and not sure how to fulfill your credit requirements.

This type of inquiry should be sent directly to Glenn Onishi, GM of Goldberg Auctions (glenn@goldbergcoins.com) as he is in charge of all of the technical stuff regarding the sales.

Me, I just know the material and the other mundane things like that. Let me know if you don't get an answer, but he is usually quite good at answering.

Thanks for info. Just got reply from Beverly Hill at Goldbergs. If anyone outside of USA is interested, this sale will also be on artfact.com. Just need to register for site and then for auction.

As long as you're happy to pay a buyers premium of 23% rather than the 20% at Goldbergs.

Thanks for mentioning that. As always convenience comes at a price.

I'll just make sure I don't spend too much then!

I'm interested to buy the Neil Armstrong autograph what is now up for auction on the Goldberg Auctions page Lot 376.

But I'm not sure what it's worth. I don't wont to pay to much. Can anybody give me an estimate please?

It's been awhile in getting here, but the sale is this Saturday. Be sure you have registered to bid with time to spare. I will be available for agenting for those who want, as usual. No charge.

All times are CT (US)
