We're now including all space collectible items from eBay within (but on separate pages) on Astro-Auction.com. We can not and do not endorse these items or sellers as we do our own, but merely offer them as a convenience to compare, browse or purchase without changing sites. To see eBay's current listings either click on the "see Ebay listings" bar at the top of the page, bottom of the page, or pick a selection from the category box on the right. If you wish to see the descriptions, seller, etc. or bid on an eBay item, just click on a listing. Although there are too many eBay items to police effectively, WE CAN and will block individual eBay sellers from AA listings if necessary. On these items, all bidding and/or purchases go directly through eBay. We do not collect or save your eBay user information. We don't keep track of which items you view. We do get aggregate data from eBay such as the total number of page views, bids, purchases and user registrations originating from Astro-Auction as a group. Please respond with comments or suggestions on how we can improve the service. ------------------ Randy Clamons Systems Programmer Astro-Auction |

Can you explain a bit more about what value added capability is enabled from the customer/viewers perspective with this feature (as opposed to just going directly to the eBay site) ...for example you indicated Astro-Auction is collecting some stats on eBay listings. Will those stats be made available to the general public to support market research or are they exclusively for internal use by your company, does Astro-Auction intend to archive eBay auction listings/historical results within your search engine? |

I believe Randy is referring to either the eBay Partner Network or Developer Program. The earlier tracks click-throughs, bids and registrations for the purpose of eBay paying a commission. We use the Partner Network for these links. |

One advantage we have over going directly to eBay that in most cases we can display item details in less time than if you go directly to eBay. The item descriptions are shown within the same page as the listings, greatly reducing the time needed to get and display the information.Since you never leave the listing page, it's easy to keep your place as you look through the listings. Our listings include auction-style, Live Auction and eBay store items all in one list. We don't actually collect the stats--they are provided to us by eBay so we can see how the program is working. Our agreement with eBay prohibits us from publicly displaying certain statistics on our web site. Thanks for your comments.

Yes, we are part of the eBay Partner Network and a member of the eBay Developers Network. We use the Shopping API to produce the listings. Our application has been certified by eBay, allowing us to serve 1.5 million page views per day. Users can get more information about these programs by clicking on any eBay logo that displays on our site.Yes, there is revenue sharing on qualifying eBay activity. Astro-Auction is free for both buyers and sellers. We're hoping revenue sharing from eBay will help us pay for keeping the site running so we can continue to list quality items from reputable sellers and collectors. |

Astro-Auction has gone live with the all new eBay API for finding items on eBay. We have new categories, as mentioned by Kim above, new keyword search options and a new sorting feature. Category listings include items' primary and secondary categories and have been expanded to include 50 items per page.Item displays now show category paths for both the primary and secondary categories. And you can get the bid history for the item without ever leaving Astro-Auction. ------------------ Randy Clamons Systems Programmer Astro-Auction |
