Anyone else think the wording of this auction is a little strange? I can see trying to reassure bidders that one is selling an authentic item, but to suggest they need to get a different hobby if they have any questions to establish the item's authenticity...well, that doesn't seem seem very buyer friendly in my opinion. After all, the advice given to many new collectors is to question EVERY Armstrong signature (especially the uninscribed ones)...to avoid being taken. Most Armstrong buyers are best served by getting provenance whenever possible...or getting second opinions at the very least. Whereas the advice here is to take the seller at his word or to get a different hobby.

Granted, I think the seller has an authentic item here. But I don't think he'll find many buyers with his attitude about this piece. After all, if the piece's authenticity speaks for itself, it should also stand up well to any scrutiny brought forth on a forum like CS.

Couldn't agree more. Its really become an epidemic how people rarely ever proofread their online communications for mistakes and/or ridiculous wording such as this auction.

Thanks for pointing that out.

Yeah, this guy certainly isn't what you'd call an ambassador for our hobby.

All times are CT (US)
