At one time Aurora (and Superior) sales were major events that CollectSpace covered live. Any plans to do so? Will current hammer prices be reported?Steve |

In 1999, when we began our live auction reporting, collectSPACE was the only place you could turn for such coverage and therefore a lot of emphasis was put into providing the service. With the advent of eBay Live, our webcasts and live hammer reporting became somewhat repetitive and were received with less enthusiasm by our readers. As such, we have tried to tailor our coverage to the current needs of collectors, namely the timely presentation of hammer prices after an auction has closed. We have succesfully done this for Regency-Superior's and Swann Galleries' auctions and we are pleased to say that we will be doing so for Aurora Auctions beginning with this weekend's sale. (Look for details to be posted to the site tomorrow morning.) As a reminder, you can access the results of past sales here. |
