Will the John Young and other recent signings make a difference in your bidding on the upcoming auctions??For me, the answer is YES!! I had planned to bid on some items in the Swann auction, but the dollars are now designated for the Young signing. Most of us are on a budget for our hobby, and within this limit, choices have to be made. It's a shame that the 3 major auctions are all happening within a month or so. David |

All my Aurora budget is going to Young now... It's obvious that it will have a big impact on the prices at all three auctions. Think of the money that's going to disappear here - let's say 1000 signatures at at least $495 a piece = $495,000 much of which would inevitably have been spent at the three space auctions otherwise. |

It will definitely make an impact. Regardless, I think that the auction prices will decrease dramatically even if the signing was not at the same time. Yes, the price of the siging is expensive (at least for me), but the mere fact that one can actually get a Young autograph on a photo of their choice is sure to drive down the demand. It seems that the Collins signing has had a similar effect. | |
