There are a couple of lots I thought I would mention. The first strikes me as rather interesting. It is lot #2144. This is, and I will quote from the catalog:

Colorful 25"x26" poster on white card stock produced for a dinner honoring the Apollo astronauts in Reno Nevada on Sept. 14, 2002.

Signed by:

12 astronauts who attended the function, Buzz Aldrin, William Anders, Neil Armstrong, Jerry Carr, Gene Cernan, Walt Cunningham, Richard Gordon, Jack Lousma, Jim McDivitt, Rusty Schweickart, Paul Weitz & Al Worden.

I had never heard of this item before, which means nothing really, but I found it interesting in that it is signed by the famous non-signer, Neil Armstrong.

I was curious what other people's thoughts are on this item? Or any other items for that matter?

The second item I had to point out is not space related but worth a look:

Lot 2317 1994 JANET LEIGH SIGNED SKETCH

A little bizarre but facinating!

All in all, there are some really interesting things to look at in the catalog that are not space related.

I too was very interested in lot #2144 and did some research on it. Thanks to Robert and a few other collectors, I was told that this "signed" litho doesn't really exist. It seems that the signatures were applied to the piece. They are actually "cut" signatures and not handsigned. Too bad, because what a piece that would be!

Per an e-mail I received from Alan Lipkin, lot 2144 has since been withdrawn (for the reasons described above).

All times are CT (US)
