Successful Falcon 9 launch of Iridium 4, the fourth set of 10 satellites for Iridium's upgraded network, from Vandenberg Air Force Base, California earlier this evening.

Interesting amateur video from a California resident.

It's called a human-made "noctilucent cloud," a relatively rare phenomenon that happens when a rocket launch happens at just the right time at sunrise or sunset that the sun shines through the water vapor at extreme high altitude and causes it to glow.

Here is a video taken by my niece on San Nicholas Island located approx. 90 mi offshore from Oxnard Ca. My niece and brother were quite confused about what they were witnessing.
