SPACE.com: Anousheh Ansari Honored with Portraits by Peter Max  The first female private space explorer, Anousheh Ansari, lit up a New York City Art Studio with her smiles, all 17 of them, earlier today.Famed pop artist, Peter Max, presented the cheery Ansari with 16 portraits of the entrepreneur, in all of which she is smiling. "Everyone told me you have a permanent smile tattooed on you face," Ansari said. "From the moment I arrived in Star City I was excited about what I was doing until the moment I landed. And no one could ever take that smile away from me." |

Looks great -- but somehow, I had assumed Peter Max died like, oh, twenty years ago. |

Warhol died around 20 years ago, not Max. Their styles are similar. Max even has a cool website where you can buy prints and have then signed with sketches, although they are somewhat pricey. I bought one with Buzz a while back and got it signed by Buzz. It is super, super cool. |

Met Peter Max at a BIG Chicago stamp show several/many years ago....he was at the Ameripex or the World Columbia Stamp Expo and a UN stamp(s) he had designed were FD of Issued there.GB |
