On November 3, 1960, the X-15-1 was mated to the NB-52B and the X-15-2 was mated to the NB-52A in an attempt to launch both of them on the same day. Bad weather set in and cancelled the attempt for that day.

Does anyone know who the two scheduled pilots were?

According to Hypersonic, page 84,

On a couple of occasions, the program tried to fly two missions in a single day, but never succeeded. The attempt on 4 November 1960 ended with Bob Rushworth launching Flight 1-16-29, but a faulty APU forced Scott Crossfield to scrub (flight 2-A-20) the first XLR99 flight.

The book's flight log shows that Rushworth was launched from 52-008, the NB-52B. It was Rushworth's first X-15 flight.

Crossfield's X-15 #2 flight did not occur until 15 November.
