I've been scouring the Internet for footage of President Eisenhower signing the Space Act and have yet to come across it. I'm looking for any footage of the signing or where he talks about the creation of NASA.

If anyone knows, I'd appreciate it.

No footage, but Eisenhower writes about it, somewhat, in Chapter X of his autobiography Waging Peace - the White House Years 1956-1961.

An excellent account of how Eisenhower and his cabinet floundered around with the space issue, after Sputnik's launch, can be found in Chapter 24 of William Manchester's The Glory and the Dream - A Narrative History of America 1932-1972.

All times are CT (US)
