Realize that Lindberg had a fair amount of interaction with Robert Goddard. Like to know if Goddard and the Wright brothers had any interaction. |

Perhaps with Orville who lived until 1949. His brother Wilber passed away in 1912. Goddard taught at Clark University in 1919. |

While not exactly a link between Orville & Goddard, the latter was in fact working at Roswell on contracts issued out of Wright Field's Power Plant Lab for rocket research during World War II. I've been trying to find out if he ever came to Wright Field during that period, or indeed at all. Nothing so far, but still checking. Orville certainly came by on occasion (as he lived in Dayton until his death) and they seemed to like to have him meet up with persons of significance (like Charles Lindbergh). It is possible that if Goddard made it to Dayton, he and Orville may have rendezvoused at or via the Dayton Engineers Club, which Orville and the other engineers greats from the area (such as Charles Kettering and a fair number of Wright Field "labbies") hung out.Cheers, Kevin |

Thanks for the info, a picture of these two together would be awfully nice.
