Hello,
i bought an old 1960s book with a couple of photos of a trainee cosmonaut called Gennady Mihailov but cant find any imformation about him.
I wonder what became of him,if anyone could let me know i would be grateful.

its Satellites and Space Travel, written by Maurice Allward and John W.R.Taylor.
Published by Ian Allan Ltd
It also mentions Vladimir Ilyushin and Gennady Zavodovsky.Its got lots of photos and was a bargain at£0.50

If you mean Mikhailov, not Mihailov, then here's the info:

There were many rumors like this swirling around in 1961, all of which have been subsequently proven false. The Judica-Cordiglia brothers complicated things even further with their sensationalism, about which most people have concluded that they were scam artists.
