Russian electronic intercept (ELINT) orbital satellite COSMOS 1220 is expected to re-enter tomorrow — based on current ephemeris there is an elevated probability reentry will occur over North America or Europe.

Thanks again for this information! My estimation the time should be 2137 Eastern that it should be deorbiting, but is there specifics like those in following the space station such as where to look and for how long? If anyone has any thoughts in how to observe it would be great! Right now the viewing potential may be obscured by clouds over Maryland, but a break will make it possible to view.

According to this report (translated by Google), Cosmos 1220 fell over northern Saudi Arabia at 4:40 a.m. local time Sunday (Feb. 16). The article suggests the fall was witnessed by many.
