I can inform you, that the former Generaldirector of the ESA, Mr. Antonio Rodotá died on 23.02.2006.He was the Director of the ESA from June 1997 to June 2003. The Italian industrial manager was born on 24.12.1935. He graduated from the University of Rome in Electrical Enegineering 1959 and worked than from 1966 to 1980 with the firm "Selenia". From 1980 to 1983 he was Generaldirector for the Italian Satellite Company CNS before he turned over to Alenia Spazio and then to Arainespace. He is called to be one of the fathers of the European Satellite-Navigation-System "Galileo". The East-Frisian
