For the first time in years, Russia's Soyuz-2 launch vehicle will lift off with a new look, inspired by the rocket that put the first human into space.
GK Launch Services, the commercial launch division of Glavkosmos, a subsidiary of Russia's Roscosmos state space corporation, announced the new livery, which will debut with the Soyuz-2.1a booster set to fly with 38 satellites from 18 countries on Saturday (March 20).

The Soyuz 2 launch scheduled for today (March 20) was scrubbed due to a problem with the Fregat upper stage. From GK Launch Services (via Twitter):
The Soyuz-2 LV launch is re-scheduled to March 22.
"During prelaunch checks of the upper stage "Fregat" when the rocket has not yet switched to power from onboard batteries, there was a failure in the power supply system of the launch complex," said a source of the agency.
According to the source, the reason for the transfer is not related to the rocket and the spacecraft.
