The ISS Expedition 27 crew portrait:

Download high resolution. Credit: NASA
Expedition 27 crew members take a break from training at NASA's Johnson Space Center to pose for a crew portrait. Pictured from the right are Russian cosmonaut Dmitry Kondratyev, commander; Russian cosmonaut Andre Borisenko, NASA astronaut Catherine Coleman, Russian cosmonaut Alexander Samokutyayev, European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut Paolo Nespoli and NASA astronaut Ron Garan, all flight engineers.

Anyone know why the crew portraits were pulled on Expeditions 26 and 27 from the spaceflight.nasa.gov website?

By mistake, they posted the only existing photos where Kondratyev is not smiling.

The Expedition 26 and Expedition 27 portraits are up on the NASA website again.

Looks like they had some cutting and pasting to do on the Russian patches in both portraits. The Energia logos were magically replaced by Roscosmos emblems. Also, some mission specialists' wings were added.

Does it mean the Russian cosmonauts' corps are now under Roscosmos command and united in only one?

Who is cosmonaut Sergey BoriNsenko from his nametag?

Wonderful job again by the graphics department. Also, some of the cut-and-pasted blue Roscosmos patches are obviously too large.

I really like this poster.

The aviation theme is great, and very appropriate given that a lot of the crew are Air Force.

All times are CT (US)
