While I was watching this evening on TV the annual Eurovision Song Contest, which took place in Moscow, it was a nice surprise to see that the voting for the winner was started from the International Space Station with a recorded message from Koichi Wakata and Yuri Lonchakov.

I saw another example of this when astronauts from a recent shuttle mission had a chat with U.S. President Barack Obama from orbit.

I was just wondering how often do the astronauts send messages like this from space, live or otherwise?

All times are CT (US)
