That's good "public relations"! NASA should do more of those; it might stir up interest in what they do.

This reminds me so much of the poster that STS 98 had. You know the one. Great to see this. Should really get people interested i hope. Must have been shot a long time ago as Clay Anderson in wrapping up his part of the expedition. Does anyone know anything more about this. For example who's idea it was etc

While the idea is brillant, the 'Matrix' franchise is already so has-been that I think it will completely miss its target/audience. Try 'Heroes' next time.

I noticed that Peggy Whitson was wearing her long leather jacket in a recent pre-flight NASA-TV video file for the Expedition 16 and Soyuz crew shown getting ready for their mission soon.

Matrix may be past, but the look of the poster is still so iconic that this poster will still work I think. I still chuckle everytime I see it since it is just so bizarre.

"Matrix" is not that old?! Besides it's an original idea, and Commander Peggy Whitson looks quite stellar.

Carrie-Ann Moss, from "Matrix", also starred in "Red Planet" in which she played the spacecraft commander. And Peggy will be the first female ISS skipper.

Thanks for the tie in to Red Planet. Cute!

Man I would love to have been a fly on the wall during THIS photo shoot. I want to see if they did any other photo poses in the leather and shades.
