A well executed 3.5 minute film of the STS-115 mission put together by a NASA employee can be accessed at the below link...Im not a big shuttle fan but found the video fun to watch (it's about a 50 meg download so only high speed connections need apply :-) ):https://issimagery.jsc.nasa.gov/iwg/Mathis/sts11512A2.wmv ------------------ Scott Schneeweis URL http://www.SPACEAHOLIC.com/ [Edited by LCDR Scott Schneeweis (September 23, 2006).] |

Nick, 'https' is correct — it means you are accessing a secure server. The link worked fine for me this morning, however upon checking the server's index page, it may be that its access is limited to the United States only: quote: This technical data is considered subject to the United States export control laws and/or to be proprietary. It is furnished on the condition that it will only be used and disclosed by the receiving Cooperating Agency and its contractors and subcontractors only for the purposes of fulfilling the Cooperating Agency's responsibilities under the Space Station Intergovernmental Agreement and Memorandum of Understanding. It shall not be used for any other purpose, nor disclosed or retransferred to any other entity of government without prior written permission of the Unites States acting through NASA.

UGH ! I wonder what would happen if ESA restricted access to their online videos only to those paying tax for and logging in from one of the ESA member states ... |

I do not believe the restrictions were intended for this specific video but the server itself does host documents that are proprietary. It doesn't appear as though this video is an 'official' release (judging by the lack of a NASA logo, a must for any PAO-endorsed creation today) and thus it may just be a poor choice of hosting locations by its creator. Unfortunately, contact information is not provided by which to ask if we can host the video here for others to watch. (It should also be noted that NASA does not have control over export laws; they are the purview of the State Dept.) [Edited by Robert Pearlman (September 23, 2006).] |

Just sent an email off to the "owner/producer" of this video...if we can get clearance either I, or if he wants to, Rob, can host for folks abroad...R/Scott |
