Had an excellent few minutes viewing time of the ISS as passed over UK earlier this evening.Gave a wee wave to the guys up there - doubt if they were looking my way though The crescent Moon was also an excellent view at same time before it dissappeared behind clouds. One of best views of ISS I've had for many months since UK weather not been favourable for eye-ball spotting on those passes when I can view. Phill spaceuk

John Phillips (Expedition 11) was recently at JSC to dicuss his flight on the ISS; afterward he was nice enough to sign autographs, and I told him that I had watched him fly over Houston many times. He replied that when we can see the ISS, they cannot see us due to the glare of the sun. Makes sense if you think about it; the reason we can see the ISS is because the sun is reflecting off it. | |
