In preparation for STS-121, most of the attention seems to be focused on the foam loss issue. However, I have not heard any mention made of fixes or modifications to the gap fillers. This was apparently a pretty common occurence before STS-107, but NASA obviously thought that it was serious enough to risk a space walk to pull out the fillers. Does anyone know of any plan in place to address this before the next flight? It seems to me that if they do not, they will have the possibility of a similar space walk on every flight from now on. Also, is there any practical solution to this problem?
