To all collectSPACE community members in the Florida and surrounding areas, I hope you all stay safe, protected and well during Hurricane Michael. Good luck to you all.
Cameras outside the International Space Station captured views of Hurricane Michael at 12:13 p.m. and 12:50 p.m. EDT Oct. 9 from an altitude of 255 miles as the storm churned over the Gulf of Mexico moving northwest at 12 miles an hour.

Any word about how NAS Pensacola and NAS Whiting Field coped with Michael? Some of the trainee naval aviators at those bases could be future astronauts and Mars-walkers.

All times are CT (US)
