Solar Impulse, a Swiss long-range experimental solar-powered aircraft, has become the first aircraft to circle the globe powered by the sun, landing in Abu Dhabi on Monday (July 25) on the last leg of its journey. Bertrand Piccard and Andre Borschberg were the pilots for the 17-leg, 26,100 mile (42,000 km) flight. From @solarimpulse on Twitter:
BREAKING: we flew 40,000 km without fuel. It's a first for energy, take it further!

Commemorative stamp and FDC issued by the Swiss Postal Services. The FDC looks strange.
