I was listening to net radio when they played a song with interesting lyrics.

It seems that Ronnie Dawson recorded as "Ronnie Dee" in his early days. His 1958 song, "Action Packed," featured the following lyrics:

If I ever strike it rich, and that's for sure,
I'm not gonna buy a Cadillac, not any more,
I'm gonna buy me one of them rocket ships,
Something that'll take me there and back
Do you hear me? I said, "Take me there and back."
Talking about using a rocket ship to go "there and back," three years before Kennedy's Urgent National Needs speech!

All times are CT (US)
