PBS Kids is kicking off a week of new episodes from season 8 of "Curious George" with an all new adventure, "Curious George Goes to Mars." Everyone's favorite monkey is heading to space on Monday (May 19) with a special appearance by NASA astronaut Karen Nyberg.
Curious George and the Man with the Yellow Hat visit Pizza and Einstein's Space Center to help solve a problem with the Mars rover. But a sleepy monkey falls asleep and wakes to discover that he and the Man with the Yellow Hat are going to Mars! The curious little monkey sets out on an adventure to figure out what's been gumming up the rover's controls! The episode, "Red Planet Monkey," is the latest of the inquisitive cartoon monkey's adventures in space, which date back to the very beginning of the space race. In just the fourth book in the "Curious George" series, creators Margaret and H.A. Rey told the story of how their title character became the first monkey to fly into space. |
