Beer made with moon dust blends brewer and spacesuit maker skills

A beer brewed with moon dust might sound like a lunatic idea, but it is now a reality thanks to a Delaware brewery and the company behind NASA's Apollo spacesuits.

Now on tap at Dogfish Head Brewings and Eats is "Celest-jewel-ale," a traditional German Oktoberfest beer with one not so traditional ingredient: moon dust.

What's more, each pint of the Harvest Moon-inspired ale is available in a spacesuit-fabric-wrapped glass.

I have to get a sample of this. Beer and space... it doesn't get any better.

Since they can't ship the beer, they should at least make the mugs available...

Hate to be picky but for it to be described as an "Oktoberfest beer" it must be brewed within the city limits of Munich! Also, it's not technically an "ale".

But hey, it's beer of sorts!

It not only has to be brewed in the Munich city limits, but also has to be one of the "Big Six" Munich breweries to be an Oktoberfest. Also, it has to conform to the Reinheitsgebot (German purity law), which the addition of moon dust certainly violates. I think this is probably better characterized as a Märzen, but fewer people know what that is so Oktoberfest is more familiar.
