Would it be possible to make a mobile version of collecSPACE for iphone, BlackBerrys, PDA's etc.If not an actual App, then just a mobile css skin of the main site, in particular the messages section? |

Oh baby, I'd even be willing to shell out a few bucks for that. |

This would be enough to make this particular oldie enter the new century (albeit 10 years late) by purchasing an iPhone. A very interesting suggestion. |

Are there readers and/or members within our community who have experience with designing/coding websites for the iPhone and other mobile devices? If so, please contact me at robert@collectspace.com. |

Does collectSPACE have an app that can be used on a Kindle Fire? If not, how can I download collectSPACE to a Kindle through Google?Editor's note: Threads merged. |

collectSPACE does not currently have an app or mobile version. We have a plan for an app that would expand upon the content presented on this website, but haven't had the time yet to develop it further. I believe the Kindle Fire has a web browser, in which case it should be possible to bring up collectSPACE.com without the need for a dedicated app (or downloading anything). |

I managed to bring up collectSPACE on my Kindle Fire. it is now permanently on my front page and I can access it from anywhere. It is amazing. I can even zoom in on the messages. |

Maybe I'm missing something but I don't see the need for an App that replicates the website (which you can easily bookmark), unless: - it has off-line viewing capability, and/or
- it enables "push" notifications, ie notification that new messages have been posted
- it has additional content/functionality/links.
I'm an avid iPad user but there are a lot of apps out there that just haven't been thought through and are "bookmarks" by another name. |

The idea we have for the collectSPACE app borrows and re-purposes some content from this site, but focuses on a new interactive and social experience that builds off the interests of our community and the themes of our content. |

I did notice on some of the apps that the content was limited and did not have all of the content as the web pages. |
