The wife (Bryar) will appear on a forthcoming episode, possibly this week of the BBC show. Two experts from the world of antiques go head-to-head to raise money for charity. They buy cheap and sell on sometimes at a vast profit. The episode will feature antique expert Eric Knowles selling Bryar some space items with the National Space Centre at Leicester as the backdrop. Nothing special just some postcards and a guide book from KSC and a boxed plate 70's period I think. Worth a look though. |

Just saw this episode today. It was a real shame "Knocker" Knowles didn't spend more time discussing some of the exhibits at the National Space Centre, such as the Soyuz capsule and Apollo 17 Moon rock, instead of chatting with James Braxton. (As an aside, the National Space Centre website needs updating to reflect that there are three Soyuz capsules on display in the West - one at the UK National Space Centre, one at the US Smithsonian and now Greg Olsen's Soyuz TMA-6 at New York's Intrepid Sea Air Space Museum.) |

You're a natural Bryar. Now we have two "celebs" in our midst, yourself and a certain Mr. Mulheirn! |

Charles Simonyi graciously donated his flown Soyuz TMA-14 to our Museum of Flight in Seattle, Washington, USA. Thank you Charles! |

How exactly are they defining the "west"? As there is also a Soyuz (T-6) in Paris, a Soyuz in Munich (Soyuz 29) and a Soyuz in Cuba (Soyuz 38), to name three. |

Chris you are too kind. Bryar clearly has a face for TV. But I think in future.... I had better stick to radio |

Originally, I was going to suggest that there were at least three Soyuz capsules on display in the West, I had a feeling there were bound to be more but couldn't be sure of the exact number.Although the UK National Space Centre's Soyuz 7K-OK and the US Smithsonian's Soyuz 19 ASTP Mockup are the two largest examples of hardware, there are quite a few reentry modules on display in 2013 outside of Russia... - Soyuz 7K-OK (Chabot Space & Science Center Oakland/USA)
- Soyuz 7K-OK (National Space Centre Leicester/UK)
- Soyuz 19 Mock (National Air and Space Museum Washington DC/USA)
- Soyuz 28 (Letecké Muzeum Kbely Prague/Czech Republic)
- Soyuz 29 (Deutsches Museum Munich/Germany)
- Soyuz 30 (Muzeum Polskiej Techniki Wojskowej Warsaw/Poland)
- Soyuz 33 (Museum of Aviation Plovdiv Krumovo/Bulgaria)
- Soyuz 35 (Közlekedési Múzeum Budapest/Hungary)
- Soyuz 36/37? (Vietnamese People's Air Force Museum Hanoi/Vietnam)
- Soyuz 38 (Museo Provincial Guantánamo/Cuba)
- Soyuz 40 (Muzeul Militar National Bucharest/Romania)
- Soyuz T-6 (Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace Le Bourget Paris/France)
- Soyuz T-10 (Nehru Planetarium, New Delhi/ India)
- Soyuz TM-10 (National Air and Space Museum Washington DC/USA)
- Soyuz TMA-6 (Intrepid Sea Air and Space Museum New York/USA)
- Soyuz TMA-14 (Museum of Flight Seattle/USA)

As a slight aside, where are the 6 Vostok capsules and the 2 Voskhod capsules located? Are they on public display? |
